Finding Purpose: A New Year’s Silent Meditation & Yoga Retreat – Melbourne 2018

Eventbrite - The Art of Mindful Living Retreat - January 2016

Take time out to reset, relax and revitalise after the silly season…and enter the new year with clarity, freshness and vitality! Relax, unwind and learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime at the beautiful Rocklyn ashram.

The New Year’s meditation and mindfulness retreat is an inspiring and rejuvenating five-day retreat where you’ll be guided through rounds of mindful yoga, meditation, mindful walking, and body scan (lying down) meditation. You’ll also be guided to reflect on the journey of your past year — and integrate what you’ve learnt so you can live a more authentic, passionate and peaceful life in 2018.

You’ll also be guided through powerful processes to identify your values, goals, and your vision of who you want to be and how you want to live in the new year. You’ll emerge feeling refreshed, reset, and ready for 2018!

What You Will Experiencemeditatinggroup

Over the course of the five days, you’ll be guided through rounds of mindful yoga (accessible to all  levels of experience), sitting meditation, walking meditation, and body scan (lying down) meditations. The four practices keep your body moving in different positions throughout the retreat to aid comfort, ease, and enjoyment.

• Long periods of silence to deepen practice. In this particular retreat, over half of the retreat will be held in silence in order to support a deepening practice.
yoganidra• Delicious healthy vegetarian food.
• Time to relax in the beautiful gardens and forest of the ashram or go hiking.
• Guidance through various processes to integrate lessons and insights from the past year and identify values and goals for the year ahead.
• A modern teaching style free from affiliation with any particular religion, tradition or belief system. It’s secular but still sacred. Spiritual but not religious. There will be depth but no dogma.

For those who have had at least some exposure to meditation, mindfulness, or yoga you will particularly love this opportunity to immerse yourself in pure practice.
