Silent Meditation & Yoga Retreat Melbourne – November 2017

Eventbrite - Weekend of Mindfulness October 2015

Meditation

“Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself.” – Herman Hesse

Enjoy a weekend of ‘me time’ to reconnect, refresh and immerse yourself in yoga, mindfulness and meditation. Held in a tranquil bush setting nestled within the depths and silence of the Wombat State Forest near Daylesford, the Silent Meditation & Yoga Retreat offers a space where you can simply be.

This semi-silent retreat is a nurturing, enlightening and rejuvenating retreat that will leave you feeling more conscious and connected when you return to daily life.

What You Will Experience

Over the course of the retreat, you’ll through rounds of mindful yoga (accessible to all levels of experience), sitting meditation, walking meditation and body scan (lying down) meditations. Most of the retreat will be held in silence in order to support a deepening of practice.

This semi-silent retreat is a nurturing, enlightening and rejuvenating retreat that will leave you feeling more conscious and connected when you return to daily life.

On the ‘mindfulness intensive’ retreat you will experience…

• Rounds of guided sitting meditation, mindful walking, mindful yoga and body scan meditation (lying down). The four practices  keep your body moving in different positions throughout the retreat to aid comfort, ease and enjoyment.yoganidra
• Long periods of silence to deepen practice.
• Brief daily teaching to support your practice.
• Delicious healthy vegetarian food.
• Immersion in mindfulness practice for two days (without distractions).
• A modern teaching style free from affiliation with any particular religion, tradition or belief system. It’s secular but still sacred. Spiritual but not religious. There will be depth but no dogma.

This retreat is accessible to all levels of experience. But to be clear, this is not a ‘how to’ retreat. This is a ‘practice’ retreat which will be fully guided but will not include lengthy instructions on how to meditate. If you’d like a retreat more suited to total beginners, or with in-depth instructions, you might like The Art of Mindful Living’ retreat instead.

For those who have had at least some exposure to mediation, mindfulness or yoga you will particularly love this opportunity to immerse yourself in pure  practice.

Conveniently located only 90 minutes from Melbourne, Rocklyn ashram is a peaceful getaway in a beautiful natural setting. A place where you can unwind, grow and discover.
