Since ancient times all wise cultures have known the value of retreat. Time on retreat allows us to step out of the busyness and complexity of our life, to listen deeply to our body, heart and mind. It gives us a time to reflect and reconnect with what matters most. After a retreat you’ll leave feeling refreshed, with a greater clarity of mind and a deepened awareness.

The 3 Day Mindfulness retreat offers a space you can relax, unwind and learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime. During the retreat you’ll receive instruction on how to practice mindfulness meditation (walking and sitting) and be guided through hatha yoga and deep relaxation practices too.

Retreats combine the beauty of nature with extensive time for mindfulness practice and healthy food providing a fertile ground for healing, restoration and inner growth.

This retreat is suitable for both new and more experienced students of mindfulness, meditation and yoga.

“My mission is to create events where people can come and reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with the life within them and all around them. These retreats are a place to find peace of mind and recharge the batteries. It is somewhere to rediscover the magic and wonder of life and find meaning, connection and purpose”.
~ Melli O’Brien

Over the course of the three days, you’ll be guided through rounds of mindful yoga (accessible to all levels of experience), sitting meditation, walking meditation, and body scan (lying down) meditations. These four practices keep your body moving in different positions throughout the retreat.

  • Periods of silence to deepen practice.
  • Delicious healthy vegetarian food.
  • Time to relax in the beautiful gardens and forest of the ashram or go hiking through the extensive walking trails around the retreat centre.
  • Since it is around the new year this retreat will include a contemplation to help you integrate lessons and insights from the past year and identify your values and a vision for the year ahead.
  • A modern teaching style free from affiliation with any particular religion, tradition or belief system.

Within you, there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at anytime and be yourself.”
